Reliability
CUPHIN is characterised by extraordinary mechanical properties which could not have been reached with the normally used standard alloys for accessories and fittings. CUPHIN is largely resistant to stress corrosion cracking (SCCR) and dezincification (DZR). Hardly any other material in drinking water applications combines these properties. Due to its mechanical properties and corrosion resistance this alloy is a reliable alternative for drinking water applications.
Hygiene
Hygienically pure drinking water has also to be free from bacteria. Scientific studies of a number of independent working groups come unambiguously to the conclusion that copper surfaces can effectively stop the multiplication of bacteria and other microorganisms. The hygienic efficacy is ensured by copper alloys containing more than 65 % copper. With its copper content of more than 75 % CUPHIN substantially contributes to the hygiene in drinking water applications.
Healthiness and well-being
CUPHIN is free of lead and other harmful substances. Therefore, it is ideally suited for drinking water applications always giving the consumer a comfortable feeling whilst preparing food.
Ecology
CUPHIN is a very sustainable material from the moment of installation until its entering into the recycling process at the end of use. Moreover CUPHIN is a very valuable pure copper alloy. Compared to other materials used in drinking water applications CUPHIN can completely be recycled thus resulting in new, high-quality products with its cycle of life starting all over again.
